For several years I worked as a copywriter at a large integrated agency working with major brands in education, finance, travel and the cultural sector. I've written and edited copy for social media, print, radio and TV – crafting the language behind some award-winning campaigns.

I write reviews and essays on literature, films and contemporary art and culture for The Observer, Tribune, Corridor8, thisistomorrow, 3:AM Magazine, The Double Negative, The Cleveland Review of Books, The Quietus and more.

I've published poetry and creative writing with Ache Magazine, Anthropocene and Blackbox Manifold. In 2020 I was awarded the The Anthony Burgess/Observer Prize for Arts Journalism and named a New Poet by The Poetry Business. I have appeared on the BBC's cultural review programme Front Row as a guest critic.

I have a BA in English Literature from The University of Sheffield and an MA in Writing at the Royal College of Art, London.

In 2021 I freelanced on the editorial team of Manchester International Festival. Currently, I create content and events for the sustainable workwear brand Uskees.
